To fully comply with current codes and standards, all public access stairs should
• be fitted with stair nosings that have a fully non slip horizontal surface;
• have 90 degree stair nosings measuring a minimum of 50mm wide by 10mm minimum deep; and
• have stair nosings with a luminance contrast of at least 30 percent against the surfaces
